Frequently asked questions
How do I add a source?
Open Streamio and add a source. For a playlist, paste your M3U URL. For Xtream Codes, enter your provider’s server URL, username and password. Streamio then loads your channels, movies and series.
What’s the difference between M3U and Xtream Codes?
Both play your content. Xtream Codes additionally exposes rich metadata, so movies and series can show plot, cast, rating and trailers. A plain M3U playlist carries less information, so some details may be missing.
A channel won’t play, or some content behaves differently — why?
Streams in HLS/MP4 use the native Apple player and support AirPlay. Raw MPEG‑TS or RTMP streams use a built‑in compatibility (VLC) engine; these play fine but can’t use native AirPlay (screen mirroring still works). Whether a stream plays at all also depends on your provider and network.
Where is my data stored?
Entirely on your device. Streamio has no accounts and collects nothing. See the Privacy Policy.
How do I reorder categories or set favorites?
In a category list, tap Edit to drag your categories into the order you like (All and Favorites stay pinned). Tap the star on a channel or title to add it to Favorites.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app from your device. That removes all locally stored sources, favorites and cached content.
